Flick Gocke Schaumburg has advised Hamburg based Joachim Herz Foundation on the acquisition of a minority stake in Weidmüller Holding AG & Co. KG. on all legal and tax matters.

Weidmüller Holding AG & Co. KG is the parent company of the Weidmüller Group, based in Detmold/Germany. Weidmüller is a global leader in the areas of electronic connection technology, industrial automation and digitalization as well as the industrial Internet of Things. Weidmüller is based in appr. 80 countries with production facilities and sales companies. It achieved sales of approximately EUR 1.1 billion in 2023 with around 6,000 employees worldwide.

With its stake of around 20 percent, the Joachim Herz Foundation is investing specifically in a technology company the innovative solutions of which promise a positive impact on society and the environment. In addition, it pursues its goal of investing the foundation's capital predominantly in business and in this way generating ongoing income for the fulfillment of the foundation's purpose.
